Can I learn a language through BBC iPlayer?

I’m English living in England and want to learn Portuguese. I watch quite a bit of TV and listen to lots of documentaries on the BBC iPlayer. I have noticed the BBC now has Portuguese as a language option, so I’m guessing I could switch the language and learn that one! <br><br>However, the content is English content just in Portuguese so my question is, will this be beneficial in the long run? Will I be able to watch Brazilian TV or be able to speak to Portuguese people in Portugal? Or am I just listening to someone speaking European Portuguese English TV content? <br><br>Thanks for any answers guys!
