If you're anti-gun, you're anti-human rights. Firearms have been used throughout history to secure and preserve human rights.

I grew up in Iraq, a place where men and people are disenfranchised of their human rights. They have also been used to protect people from harm, such as in the case of a concealed carry permit holder defending themselves against an armed attacker.

Furthermore, there are plenty of examples throughout history that show what happens when firearms are banned, and it's not good.

For example, in 1911, Turkey banned firearms, and soon after, 1.5 million Armenians were murdered.

In 1929, the Soviet Union banned firearms, and as a result, 20 million people were murdered.

From 1933 to 1945, Hitler banned firearms in Germany, and 13 million Jews, Romani people, disabled people, and others deemed undesirable were murdered.

In 1939, Poland banned firearms, and 3 million Jews were murdered in concentration camps.

In 1964, Guatemala banned firearms, and 100,000 Mayans were murdered.

In 1970, Uganda banned firearms, and 100,000 Christians were murdered.

From 1999 to 2007, Rwanda banned firearms, and 800,000 Tutsis were murdered.

The lesson is clear: when firearms are banned, tyranny and genocide often follow.
