What was life like for the average person in the last years of the Weimar Republic (1929-1933)?

The title pretty much says it all - I’m interested in learning about what life was like in Germany in the years between the onset of the Great Depression in 1929 and the appointment of Adolf Hitler in January 1933. I understand that it was a period of political instability and extreme economic downturn, but I am going to assume that life wasn’t quite apocalypse-esque (i.e. the streets at war, mass homelessness) until the very end. How did the average person go about their daily lives in the last four years of the Weimar Republic?
