For the people who rage quit their jobs and go minimalist, how did you people do it?

I want to leave my job but it is the only thing giving me money currently. I’ve never lived off savings and I don’t know how to do that well. I’m actually not even sure how long my current amount of savings will last. I want to move somewhere halfway across the country, but I would have to pay my own way to get there, find a job, find a place to live, learn to live small, get some money saved up for if things went wrong, all while living just off my current savings. It’s a very daunting task and I would love some wisdom as to how those of you who have succeeded have done so.
