Why is there so much hate towards Kratom?

Hey guys this is a pretty general question, why is there so much hate towards Kratom in this sub? I've taken it and know people who have as well and it honestly helps me out with my depression and i've heard it helps people with addiction and anxiety. I've heard so many people say it's a "drug for drug addicts" which i don't really agree with. I also get that it's addictive but i don't see how it's THAT bad. Can anyone point out some factual stuff that might show why people hate Kratom so much?
