My Ex's New Partner Has 4 Kids ~ A True Story

I was in a relationship back in 2005 with a guy for what felt like an eternity. He was a bit controlling and jealous. I thought I could "fix" him. I was 22 years old and in love. <br><br>Anyway, I get a call from the owner of the local bookstore we used to go to. The owner is super nice, always flirted with me and I thought he was a gentleman. He asked me how I was doing. I was a bit confused, but thanked him. He said he was just wondering because my ex was in the store with his *FOUR CHILDREN* and his new wife. <br><br>He said the woman was on her phone the entire time, in the corner. The kids were playing/fighting amongst themselves, and my ex was trying to manage the 4 kids. <br><br>The owner just wanted to let me know that I dodged a HUGE bullet when that relationship ended. <br><br>It made me smile thinking about how miserable my ex must have been with four screaming kids. <br><br>I dated a lot after that, but ultimately ended up with a wonderful man. We have a cat and a dog, and we are happy. We go on trips, see our friends, and get to go out and be ourselves.<br><br>I am so happy that it ended. I would have never tolerated children. And he would have never tolerated me not wanting them.
