In what situations do you avoid making direct eye contact with a man, and why?

I'm a direct eye contact person. I feel as a woman it sends a message that you don't want to be fucked with when you look people straight in the eye. (Plus I'm in sales and it's good for business). <br><br>But I've been in a few situations where I've purposefully looked away from a man to avoid eye contact when I've felt like I'm in danger.
