I'm OK with Facebook collecting my data

I see a ton of articles all the time about how big tech is spying on us and collecting our data. I don't care - if it means that I don't have to pay for these awesome services, I'm fine with them mining my data. Also, who cares? They're using the data to sell me ads for stuff I already buy (or may not know I'd be interested in), and I doubt the data is being sold to anyone who would do anything to harm me.

For example, I get tons of interest-based ads on Facebook about car parts and clothing, and sometimes I click on them. It's truly not a huge deal. I'd rather see ads for things I already buy than random spammy ads for off-brand cell phones.

Some people say that with big tech mining our data, it's the next big invasion of privacy. But if you use their free services like me, I'm not sure why you would care.

Edit: thanks for the gold and silver, even though my opinion is unpopular :)
