The Biden administration is directing federal agencies to crack down on workers who have not provided proof of vaccination and have declined to follow mitigation measures, according to new guidance released Thursday.<br><br>The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a memo directing agencies to move away from allowing unvaccinated employees who have been in the workplace to instead perform their duties remotely.<br><br>"An agency may consider remote work as a reasonable accommodation for an employee with a disability that prevents them from being vaccinated," the memo states. "However, agencies may discontinue remote work for employees who have declined to be vaccinated and have declined to regularly test and to comply with agency protocols for the safety of the workplace."
