I stole so much as a child/teen and I feel guilty

I used to steal from stores a lot when I was a child and teenager. When I was around five or six I was at the grocery store with my mom and I was digging around in my pocket and found a nickel and I put it into this big gumball machine by the doors and got a gumball and it so happened a big green gummy sward was locked into the big hole and I'm assuming it was there for a while. So I turned the handle and got it out. It was perfect and not all crumbly and I figured it would be awesome if I could keep it. So I took it home and didn't say anything. I think it was about two weeks later I had the idea to get a whole bunch of change and go get a few more.<br><br>I would go there one to two times a week depending on how much change I would have and I would always get at least two gummy swords. I have 100's of them by the time I turned 10 or 11. I had them everywhere. They have since been thrown away but I still feel bad about it. <br><br>I also used to steal food from a Chinese restaurant for years when my mom would go drinking. I would always get an orange chicken bowl and the lady that took me home from school would say no food until dinner but she always gave me an exception and would grab a fortune cookie too. So one day I asked if I could get a cookie even if I didn't get food and she always said yes. One day I had the idea to get extra cookies with no food. I would get three cookies and then I would go to the back and hide behind the dumpster. If I saw her drive away through the big windows I would go back inside and ask for a few more cookies. This went on from age 10 to around 16 or 17. Sometime between those years they switched from the normal fortune cookie to the giant ones. I would end up with 15 cookies a day and I would always take them home and hide them. I told my brother to not tell our mom about the cookies and I would give him a few and I took the rest to my room and of course hid them.<br><br>I also used to steal food from this Chinese buffet every time we went and I got away with a lot of food in my jacket for a long time. I would sit in the last table next to the bathrooms and I would always go to the bathroom a few times and fill my jacket with all sorts of food. One time I had filled my whole jacket and was about to leave then I realized I couldn't go to the bathroom again without my mom getting suspicious so I had to wait for around 15 minutes of sitting there before I could leave the table. I walked out like nothing was wrong and of course I didn't get caught.<br><br>I never really got caught stealing anything.
