Why doesn't everybody just leave Russia? Why are Russians just standing by and watching as their government does all this shitty stuff?

I don't get it. I've been to St. Petersburg. The majority of Russians seemed like perfectly normal human beings. If I grew up in Russia, I'd leave in a heartbeat.
