I'm a cop and I think my sister would be dead if I wasn't there

Ok maybe I'm sucking it up too much, maybe I'm just a pussy and I should take this off this sub because this isn't much of a let's not meet experience, but I got a story to tell you all.

I'm a cop, 24 years old. I'm around 5'10'', I'm on the skinnier side for a man but I'm trained in combat. I have a sister who is 18, and she's one of my favorite people ever. She's a good girl, graduated valedictorian, going to a good college, and etc etc you get the idea. So she turns 18 and decides to throw a party, invited her whole class and some other people out, and she had a great time.

One of my other sisters noticed that the house was kind of trashy so we all decided to clean up. I'm sweeping the floor in the kitchen, and I notice a weird dent in the wall. I check it out and there's a hole on the other side of the wall. It's not huge, but a little bigger than a baseball.

There are two holes. One is by the light switch, and the other is about 6 feet up towards the ceiling. I call my sister's name and I say "you might wanna hear this". I ask her if she remembers anything weird happening through the night but she says no.

She's a pretty emotional person so I just tell her to go chill out, I'll get someone to look at it. I get my dad to come over and check it out, he looks at it and thinks it's strange but he also doesn't think much of it. He says it could be from the construction workers who built the house but I'm not so sure.

So I call a guy I know who works in construction to check it out. He comes by, checks it out, and he thinks it's really weird.

Here's where it got really weird. I was walking through the house and I noticed that in the laundry room, there's another hole. Same exact size. It's in the middle of the wall, no light switch or anything near it. So I ask my dad to come check it out, he's also confused, so I call the construction guy again.

He comes by, checks it out, and is really confused. He's thinking that someone made these holes to either bug the house or spy on us, but he's not sure. I'm thinking the same thing, and that's when I decided I should call another guy I know who is a cop in this precinct. He agrees someone probably bugged it, but he's not sure.

The construction guy and my dad both agree that they can probably fix it, so that's what they do. They patch it up so that it looks like new. I'm still thinking that there might be more holes that we haven't found, so I tell them to check the whole house for more holes. They check, they find 2 more. One is in my sister's room and the other is in my room.

They patch up the holes, no big deal, right? Wrong. When my dad was patching up the hole in my room, he noticed that there was already a patch job. If you ever had your wall patched up, you know you can tell by the paint that something was there. Well, my dad says the paint was different, that it was a little lighter than the paint on the rest of the wall.

I don't know what this means, but I aim my flashlight at my wall and shine it on the patch job. The light reflects off of something shiny. I go through the hole, and I find a USB camera. It's one of those ones that you plug into your computer and you can watch the footage from it. There's a bunch of wires connected to it, and it's just super fucking creepy. So I call my cop buddy again, he comes by, and he says he can't see where the wires lead because of the patch job.

He decides to rip off the patch job, and we find that the wires lead into the drywall. So we rip off some more of the drywall and find the wires. We start aimlessly pulling on the wires, and we pull out this camera. Then we pull out ANOTHER camera, and this one is even bigger. They're both connected to some wire, and it leads into the attic. So we go into the attic and aimlessly follow the wires.

The wires lead to a box. We check the box and it's a bunch of cameras all connected to a laptop. So we turn on the laptop and it's just a bunch of videos of us doing our day-to-day activities. Literally hundreds of videos. And it all dates back to a week after we moved in. We got in the house in August and they're all dated to be from September, October, November, and December. It literally goes up to the current day.

I call my cop buddy again and he says he'll send a forensic team to get the laptop and the cameras. I haven't heard anything yet but this shit is super fucking creepy. Nothing even happened, no danger was there, but it just creeps me out that I was being watched like that. The fucked up part is I can't think of anyone who would do that, and I never even left the house unattended. The only thing I can think of is one of the construction workers left a camera in the drywall or something and it was never found, but it was definitely weird.

If you read this whole thing, thanks I guess. Sorry if it wasn't a typical let's not meet experience.
