It can be so hard to be a childfree woman

I found out I was pregnant 3 months ago, and it was a relief to find out it was an ectopic pregnancy so I could have an abortion without the judgement from family that comes with a normal abortion.

My husband and I travelled over seas to visit my family to break the news that we won't be having kids. They were not happy and as I expected try to guilt us into having kids. They go to the extreme of making back handed comments of how sad it is that our wedding was for no reason as marriage is about having kids, its sad that I will be childless in my final years when all they have is their children and grandkids etc.

It doesn't matter how much I explain about physical health issues, mental health issues and just personal decisions.

I'm just fucking glad I'm a childfree woman and I didn't have to go through a pregnancy before I could terminate it.
