I run a small NZR rabbitry, and I've been asked to run the NZR Breeders Facebook Group.

So I guess I might as well start with a little bit of background. My name is Max, I'm a 20yo male from BC, Canada. I started breeding NZRs back in 2017 when I bought a trio of pet rabbits for my backyard. I was pretty clueless about rabbit breeding back then, but I've slowly learned as I go. Fast foward to 2020, I bought my first NZR buck to breed, and expanded my rabbitry operations from 3 backyard rabbits to almost 20 rabbits. The past two years were a wild ride and have been an exciting experience, especially for a young guy who's always been interested in animals. In the past two years, I have worked on growing my NZR herd to be one of the largest in my province or even country. I've run into a few NZR breeders from different parts of North America at various rabbit shows, and they seem to agree with me that I have one of the biggest NZR herds in Canada.

Because of my large NZR operation, I sometimes get asked for advice by new breeders who are curious about NZRs. I'm always happy to help out other breeders since I feel it's rewarding to see other people happy with their rabbits and rabbitry operations. I've also done a lot of selling of NZR breeding stock to other breeders in the area, and I've been told that I have some of the best NZRs in the country.

Because of my expertise, I've also been approached by the new management of the NZR Breeders Facebook Group to be run by me! I've done a lot of research on rabbitry management and herd health, and I've put that knowledge into practice at my rabbits. I'd like to think of myself as somewhat of an expert in NZR rabbitry operations in general. I'm pretty confident in my ability to run the NZR Breeders Facebook Group.

However, I'm eager to hear your thoughts on the subject. I'd also love to hear what kind of topics you would like to see posted on the NZR Breeders Facebook Group, and any kind of ideas you have on promoting NZRs and our community of rabbitry owners. I'm pretty confident that I can do a great job as the admin of this Facebook Group, and with your input, we can make this community even stronger and more active.
