I cashed your "I fucking hate cashiers" post.

Backstory: I'm a cashier and I'm new to this subreddit. Recently, I saw a post where a lifter was complaining that a cashier harrassed you like crazy, but proceed to violently punch the cashier for no reason. You also stated you had a knife with you. You included a video of this post but i dont have an account to watch it idk why. I'll just keep it short and sweet. As a cashier, I have been physically abused by multiple people for no apparent reason. A man came into our store angry and immediately, i gave him every wrinkled and crunkled note i had, trying to make it easy for him. He said "oh, so you can't give me that?" as if i was trying to piss him off. I replied "of course" and tried my best to get him a fresh note. He yells "fuck you" and tries to do a "smack action" on this side of the desk, but it missed. I thought he was gonna hit me honestly. I've been threatened and assaulted (to the point of a broken rib) for no reason by angry customers. When you see a cashier, we're just trying to do our job to the best of our abilities. You're not entitled to free food because you've had an "bad day", you deserve to pay for the food you're buying, especially if you're gonna fucking give static about it to a customer service worker. Sometimes I'm scared for my own safety as a cashier and to see that "I'm a threat to a customer" is fucking insane. You fucking hate us for some reason? Then go to a fucking machine to check out and leave us alone. Fucking angry customers are driving me fucking insane. I'm gonna have a static panic attack any second thanks to you guys.
