I don't mean that you should be a conformist and laugh at every meme. I mean that understanding how they work should be handled in school.

It should be handled like a modern version of Shakespeare's plays. You don't have to laugh at the jokes or laugh at the meme, but understanding the format should be taught to everyone.

There is a huge difference between taking a good meme, and a bad meme. It's the same as jokes.

**Why it should be taught:**

1. **Memes are still a part of our culture**. By not teaching this in school, you encourage a culture war between the boomers and the zoomers, and really shouldn't be allowed to happen.

2. **Discerning between good and bad memes**. Time spent on a bad meme is time wasted. And if you want to make your own content, you should know how to do it.

3. **Meme making is a valuable skill.** Being able to make a good meme can be a social skill to make people laugh and feel better. If you want to make a post here to make people laugh, but you suck at making good memes, you've wasted time and effort. Imagine if you could actually make good memes.

4. **Teaches people how to laugh at themselves.** Good meme makers know what makes them laugh about themselves. By teaching how to laugh at yourself, you can learn how to be better at taking jokes. Imagine how great the world would be when people can laugh at themselves and actually learn from their mistakes.

This is a pretty short list, but I think that by teaching how to make good memes, it would improve society.
