Hey you all, I wanted to get your input and help on something. I'm working on a world for tabletop RPG and need your help to create a historical conflict. I want a conflict that will have a lasting impact and create a sort of tradition.
This is the basic premise of the war.

**Premise:** A war caused by a desire for cinnamon.

**"Good Guys":** A nation of hunter-gatherers who have lived in an area with plenty of cinnamon for centuries. They never realized until recently that the spice was valuable.

**"Bad Guys":** A nation of colonizers who are heavily inspired by European colonizers. They're also industrialized.

**Parameters:**

* The war is not to be symmetrical. The "Good Guys" Should be outmatched by the "Bad Guys".
* It should be bloody and brutal.
* The war should end with some sort of tradition for the "Good Guys".
* The war will happen in the 1800s.

Any ideas?
