I was almost kidnapped by an incredibly ballsy stalkercreeper

So I've been reading a lot of stories on this sub and I finally decided to write mine. This happened to me a while back, and I haven't told a lot of people about it because I don't know why, it's just a very weird feeling my safe space almost being violated like that.<br><br>This took place in my country, the Philippines, inside a mall.<br><br>I was 16 back then (I'm 19 now) and my family and I went to the mall to eat lunch and watch a movie. I wanted to browse the game store on the next mall so I told my family I'd see them at the cinema in a while. My family agreed and left me.<br><br>The game store was at floor 2 of the mall. After visiting the store, I decided to take the stairs which was at the back of the mall. I wasn't really scared since it was daytime and the mall was packed with people. Plus, it only had around 6 floors. I was the only one in the stairs but for some reason I had this gut feeling that someone was following me, so I tried to walk fast. I didn't look back and just kept on walking.<br><br>I looked back and sure enough, some guy was following me. I don't know where he came from or if he was really following me, but the stairs were pretty silent that time so I could hear him walking, so it's obvious that he was following me. I didn't want to let him know that I saw him so I didn't make any sudden movements and just kept on walking. I'm pretty sure he could see me looking back at him though.<br><br>I was at floor 2, and the stairs only had 2 exit doors: floor 0 which leads to the entrance of the mall where the parking area is, and floor 1 which leads to the mall itself. I was planning to go to floor 1, but when I saw him following me I decided to go straight to floor 0. I didn't want to take the elevator because I was afraid he'd ride it with me. Floor 0 is a long way from floor 2, but I walked as fast as I could (my mindset was basically F**K F**K F**K).<br><br>So we walked passed floor 1 and the creep didn't take the exit there. I knew at this point he was really creeping on me. I didn't want to panic and didn't want to run and make it obvious because that would probably make him run after me. I knew he'd catch me if I did that, so I just continued to walk fast and constantly check back at him. <br><br>At this point floor 0 was just 1 flight of stairs away. I could see the exit door from where I was, and I was planning to take my phone out and take a picture of him and call security. Just as I was planning that, the creep all of a sudden ran down the stairs and towards me. I was shocked and frozen for a while, and when I came back to my senses I ran towards the exit door with all my might.<br><br>I ran towards the parking area which was full of people as well, with the creep running behind me and towards me. I didn't look back anymore at that point, I just kept running and looking for a security guard. The first thing that came to mind was to look for a security guard because I knew if I looked for my family he'd probably get to me first before I even get to them.<br><br>I ran and walked quickly through the parking area, and didn't look back. I just know he was behind me because it was clear he was running because of all the Naples throughout the parking area. I know he was near me because I could hear him running with the sound of the heels of his shoe. I finally found a security guard near the mall entrance and ran to him and told him what happened. I told him the creep was behind me but when we looked back, the creep was gone. If he was behind me, he would've been in plain sight.<br><br>The guard told me to be careful and told me where he was if something happened. I was so terrified at that point, I didn't even know what to do. I felt like I was going to pass out if I didn't sit somewhere, so I sat in a restaurant there and drank some water. I texted my parents what happened and they were so terrified and told me to look for them at the cinema (I didn't tell them the name of the cinema) so I told them the name of it and they rushed to the cinema.<br><br>I waited there for around 10-15 mins and I still couldn't calm down. I looked around the restaurant for any suspicious men but there were none so I decided to look for the cinema myself. I had to walk through the parking area again to get to it, so I quickly walked towards the cinema, still looking back to see if the creep is behind me. When I got to the cinema the mall staff at the entrance asked me if I was okay because, and I quote, "You looked like you saw a ghost".<br><br>I finally saw my parents and told them what happened, and my dad immediately told mall security what happened so they went to the floor I was in to find the creeper. They didn't find him, though. They probably couldn't because the mall was so packed and they didn't have any idea what he looked like. Still, they were pretty nice and walked me and my family through the mall and made sure we were safe. I was grateful for their kindness and help.<br><br>So we still watched the movie, and all in all the rest of my day went great. The creep didn't show up again, so I don't know if he was planning to kidnap or kill me, or was just planning to harass me. Still, I couldn't shake off the feeling of my safety space being violated like that. <br><br>Creep, you better not be in any malls now. I don't want you following any other girls and potentially hurt them. I hope you got locked up in prison. I'm really not sure how you got away with it, but I really hope not a lot of women have experienced what I experienced. <br><br><br>Edit: I'm kinda blown away by the support, I know this story isn't as detailed or as weird and creepy as other stories but thank you all for the support. And sorry for my grammar, English is my second language. <br><br>Edit 2: I understand the confusion regarding the floor count so I'll lay it out like this. Imagine the mall as a building, but it's really just 2 buildings connected with 1 shared parking area in the middle. The parking area has an entrance to both the mall and the department store. The department store has a separate entrance in the other side. The floor count I'm referring to are the floor count of the building my game store was in. The mall was connected to the game store by a bridge, and the cinema was in the department store. So basically I went from floor 2 of the department store to the parking area, then from the parking area towards floor 1 of the department store, where the cinema was. Sorry if that still confused you, I will admit it's really confusing.
