And the most underrated. <br><br>You don't need to be a shopaholic to buy shitty stuff, often times people just don't know better or are in a rush.<br><br>The problem is that society has convinced us that there's no shame in throwing away plastic cups, old clothes, plastic bags etc. <br><br>The most frugal thing to do is to buy something that uses quality and sturdy materials, a good design, something which you can enjoy for a lifetime.<br><br>Right now I'm on an Apple macbook air from 2015, a piece of shit that most people would throw away, but it can run most of what I need and it was recently thoroughly cleaned.<br><br>I have a pair of Levi's jeans that are over 10 years old, I wore them over 2,500 times and I can still use them. <br><br>I own a brooks backpack which I bought during college over 6 years ago and it has been flawless.<br><br>I own a pair of Astorflex shoes which have been treated gently but I use to work in construction with and they are fine. <br><br>I bought a Hamilton Khaki watch 8 years ago and it's been my daily driver for most of that time.<br><br>I own an Akai MPK25 Mini and it's been with me for 10 years.<br><br>I own a pair of 8kg dumbbells and a kettlebell that I bought 5 years ago and I use them some times.<br><br>I own a bunch of t shirts from Fruit of the Loom, Russell and James Perse which I bought over 8 years ago and they look great, they have been washed hundreds of times.<br><br>I only own 2 pairs of headphones, a pair of Audio-Technicas which I bought over 5 years ago and a pair of Sony which I bought 2 years ago. I think that's the minimum anyone should own. <br><br>I own 2 fountain pens, one from Sailor and one from Lamy, both of which I've owned for over 6 years.<br><br>My wallet is from Hugo Boss and it's lasted me over 6 years.<br><br>I own 2 pairs of boxers, one from Calvin Klein and another from Hugo Boss, both of which I've owned for over 6 years. <br><br>I own an authentic Rolex that I bought 10 years ago, the strap has been replaced once and it was cleaned once, otherwise it's been with me for 10 years and I've worn it thousands of times.<br><br>I own a Gucci bag which I bought 5 years ago and it still looks great. <br><br>I own 3 pairs of sunglasses, one from Ray-Ban, one from Persol and one from Burberry and they've been with me for over 6 years. <br><br>I own a Fisher mallet pen and a parker pen that I've owned for over 6 years and they've been used hundreds of times. <br><br>I own a bunch of calvin klein and tommy hilfiger socks which I bought over 5 years ago, some of which still look great while others have been used hundreds of times. <br><br>I own a bunch of Ralph Lauren polo shirts that I've owned for over 6 years and I've worn most of them hundreds of times. <br><br>I own a bunch of Hunkemöller bras that I bought for my girlfriend from when we first started dating over 6 years ago and she still uses them to this day.<br><br>I own a bunch of Calvin Klein underwear that I bought for my girlfriend over 6 years ago and she still uses them.<br><br>I own a bunch of Swarovski accessories from 6 years ago that my girlfriend still uses. <br><br>I bought a DJI drone 5 years ago and I've used it hundreds of times and it still looks brand new. <br><br>I bought a set of tupperware 6 years ago and I still use it to this day.<br><br>I own a Villeroy & Boch plate set that I bought 5 years ago and I use most of it almost everyday.<br><br>I own a bunch of KitchenAid accessories that I've bought over 5 years ago and most of them are still with me. <br><br>There are a few things that I've replaced in the past 6 years, mostly because they've worn out over time.<br><br>If you really want to live frugally, invest in quality and design.<br><br>Buy things that will last you a lifetime, enjoy them thoroughly and use them until they can't be used anymore.<br><br>The most epic thing you can do for frugal living is buying something well made that can last you a lifetime.<br><br>This is the key to being frugal.
