Men who stay with their wife and kids through thick and thin, how do you guys actually do it?

As a man thinking about wanting to be a father myself it’s hard to imagine sticking around through the thick and thin. I’ve seen too many cases of men leaving their families once they aren’t happy. I know it’s a big responsibility but I’m a little scared of how I can make it work.
