The phrase "idk, I'll just get on a bus" is one of the most detestable things I've ever heard: Help me understand tourists' love for bus travel.

I've heard that in Europe, there's an abundance of bus lines and it's relatively easy to find them for basically any route. That's one angle, I've read so many times "ohh there is a bus from X to Y", idk how it works. I bet that the people who can't drive live in the cities, where such lines are more frequent, while people in the villages are able to drive. I still don't understand how you can travel a long distance on a bus, how do you even get comfortable? I'm not talking about budget because again, idk how it works. The numbers don't add up, even if it's half the price, I just can't imagine how you can get comfortable in a bus, I honestly can't imagine how you can sit that long, let alone on one of the back seats where you can't even lean on the back of a chair. How do they do it omg.
