Quality of the writing community

I am a moderator for this sub and love reading your stories, but I have started to notice a trend that bothers me. There's an increase in low effort, low quality content in this sub. I feel like I've seen more low effort "he's a werewolf" or "he's an assassin" or "he's a reincarnated immortal" content in this sub, and when a legitimate piece of fiction gets posted it gets washed away.

I'm not sure the best way to handle it. I've seen some communities have a "how-to" post that has a list of suggested writing books, websites, and other forms of media.

Do you think that would help? We already have the (long) list of resources, but it may be more visible if we had it displayed on the front page. I'd like to know your thoughts on this.
