How to memorize a word in a foreign language

So you saw a word in X language that you have never seen before, how should you memorize it? What steps do you need to follow?<br><br>1. See how the word is spelled<br>2. See what the word sounds like<br>3. See how the word is used in the sentence<br>4. See what synonyms are (If there are any)<br><br>Now just use flashcards, and I guarantee you, you will have it memorized in a day (Depends if you want to take your time, or if you want to memorize it instantly)<br><br>But, remember, that you can't memorize a language. Yes, I know, some might say "I memorized this, I memorized that..." etc, but not a language. Sure you can memorize a set of words, phrases, and sentences. But not a language.
