Does a man "losing his virginity" sound weird to you?

I asked this on Atb and it was a 50/50 split. I remember my first time having sex as "losing my virginity" but also the guy lost his virginity too. Not trying to start a feminist discussion, I just want to know how everyone feels about phrasing like that
