Apple's new iPhone 15 Pro Max absolutely shatters the record for the most expensive iPhone ever. This takes the place of the Pro Max model and ditches the telephoto lens in favor of a single zoom lens capable of a 5x zoom, but with the same camera hardware as the iPhone 15 Pro Max, just with a new periscope zoom lens.

You'll notice that there's a new setup, a telephoto lens and a new "zoom" lens dedicated to zooming. It absolutely shatters the record for the most expensive iPhone ever, with a $3,500 price tag but takes the place of the Pro Max model. The "zoom lens" has a higher capacity to zoom and is going to have a 5x zoom on the iPhone 15 Ultra in hand.

To justify the price point, Apple claims that the telephoto camera, the main camera and the zoom camera are on the same level as a high-end camera. The telephoto lens has a 70 mm focal length and the zoom lens has a 120 mm focal length. Both lenses are going to be the largest telephoto lens ever put into a smartphone, and it's going to have a 5x zoom like many other smartphone manufacturers. There's also going to be a "camera app", which is different to the regular camera app.
