So, you guys must have heard stories of Chinese parents who hire “AI teachers” to talk to their toddlers all day so that they can learn English. ...and Chinese parents are willing to pay through their teeth for that privilege.
Look, I’m not here to judge, but in this case, I’d love to hear how other communities perceive this. Do people get it? Do they think it’s crazy? Or maybe they just haven’t heard about it? What are your thoughts?

Personally, I’m obviously against this, and it downright pisses me off. As an English teacher, I can’t in good faith call it “teaching” when I’m forced to talk to 2-3 year olds all day, especially when they don’t even know Chinese themselves yet. This is a common mentality among parents, and probably part of the reason they don’t trust humans. I really hope the parents who sign up for this realize how fucking stupid this is. But they won’t.

So, I guess my last hope is for the AI providers. If you want to provide an educational experience, and especially claim it works for kids under 3, you’re all child abusers. You need to stop this bullshit and stop stealing parents’ money. It’s also a waste on the government’s part, but who cares about that when there are other shit to fund.
