The immediate effects of AI on the job market will be the reduction in job satisfaction and the exacerbation of existing issues

I am an app developer, and most of my work consists of migrating existing apps from an older version of the technology to a newer version. Essentially, migrating normal buttons to Material Design (MD) buttons, normal cards to MD cards, custom fonts to MD fonts, and so on. I do this with the help of DALLE-3 and GitHub Copilot X.<br><br>I think the impact of AI on the job market is very complicated, and there are many different aspects of this topic that need to be considered.<br><br>The first effect that is visible, at least to me, is that the job satisfaction has decreased, while job satisfaction has been on the decline for some time, the recent developments have only exacerbated this. AI has made my job less enjoyable and more monotonous, and I've noticed this trend in many other fields, including law, medicine, education, etc.<br><br>The second effect is that AI has increased inequality by disproportionately negatively affecting certain groups of people. People who are already disadvantaged, such as those with lower education levels or socioeconomic status, are more likely to lose their jobs or struggle to adapt to the changing job market. Additionally, AI has also increased inequality within professions, as those who are able to adapt to the new tools and workflows are likely to thrive, while those who are unable to adapt may struggle to keep up.<br><br>Finally, AI has also created new opportunities for people to pursue their passions and interests, regardless of whether they align with traditional job structures. With the ability to automate routine and mundane tasks, people are free to focus on more creative and fulfilling work.<br><br>In conclusion, the effects of AI on the job market are complex and multifaceted. While it has created new opportunities for some, it has also increased inequality and decreased job satisfaction for many.
