US Senators voted a raise in the minimum wage of $15 an hour out of the new covid-19 relief bill, citing that it's not relevant to the pandemic

$15 an hour minimum wage would have meant additional income for millions of Americans, which would have helped with the economic recovery and growth, by enabling low-income families to afford more goods and products.<br><br>It also would have meant better income for essential workers who risked their lives to keep society running during the pandemic, most of them with minimal benefits.<br><br>Now, these same workers, as well as many Americans who are currently paid minimum wage, will continue to struggle to make ends meet, with minimal benefits and less purchasing power.<br><br>Edit:<br><br>Chambers has its own users and I can't control that.
