Why do people keep saying "The gays are making their move on us"

Like, the LGBTQ+ community has just been asking for equal rights since forever. Now that we're starting to get those rights, people suddenly act like we're the oppressors.<br><br>It's like saying "Minorities are making their move on us" just because they're allowed into the same institutions we are. What I don't get is that tons of people are LGBTQ+ themselves but still view us as an "enemy" that has a grand conspiracy to oppress them. <br><br>Why do people view us as an enemy instead of just people who want to live their life?
