Has anyone here ever written themselves into one of their stories?

So I am doing NaNo and I am writing a story which involves dream walking, lucid dreaming, astral projection, and things like that. I thought it would be a fun exercise to write myself having a lucid dream, and then my dream self enters the world of my story. So far my dream self has had one interaction with a character in my story and it was really interesting to see what happened. I know it probably doesn’t help my story a lot, but it is a really fun exercise and has been a useful way to develop my story and characters.<br><br>I was wondering if anyone else has done anything like this?
