Today, I had my friend’s dog to myself for the day and I had to take it on a 7 hour bus ride. After this experience I’m definitely never having kids

So today I was in charge of my friend’s dog. He was a very well behaved dog, about 5 years in age and generally well trained. We had to take the bus to get from point A to point B.

Before we got on the bus, I was training him to perform tricks for treats. Walk on a leash, sit, stay, jump up. All the good stuff. He seemed to be a very smart dog.

After we were finished training we got on the bus, and all was good. He was very calm and sat next to me on the bus. That was until he got off the bus and had to walk around a bit. I let him off the leash and let him roam around. I assume this is where he got some energy, because as soon as we got on the bus again and I put the leash back on him, he went all hyper. Jumping up and down and barking, pulling on the leash, etc. I tried doing the same training as before, and it did nothing. He just kept pulling on the leash and barking. This was annoying not only to me but also all the other passengers on the bus. It was already hot on the bus, and now I had a dog struggling to get out of his seat, tugging on the leash.

After 30 minutes, he finally calmed down. He even got a little sleepy, so he put his head on my lap and took a nap. This was the highlight of the day, because 15 minutes later, he woke up and threw up all over the floor. At this point I was beyond annoyed with this dog. The smell was horrible and I didn’t know what to do, and all the passengers were pissed at me. Luckily I had some plastic bags and paper towels that I used to clean up the mess.

After we got off the bus I had to drag him the last half mile to our destination. He was pulling on the leash like crazy, and I just wanted to get this dog out of my sight. Luckily we finally made it to our destination. He didn’t even get a happy reunion with his owner because we had to clean him up. He had gotten diarrhea or something while we were walking, and got it all over himself.

Overall, never having kids.
