Hello guys, i want to sound rational and right here, am not supporting British nor am I supporting gandhi and congress.

My question is what was the scenario before british’s arrival. This country was divided into 500 different princely states each state was fighting another, not only that, we werent safe from our own neighbours, numerous invasions have been made by islamic and mughal rulers, we werent united at all. So when british came to india, they saw and exploited the weaknesses of our own people and hence captured us.

Now to throw off british, we had to struggle a lot, not only Swami Vivekananda, Netaji, Mangal Pandey but many people who were not recognised at all sacrificed their lives. But the outcome was not acceptable. British decided to leave not the way we wanted to throw them away, but the way they wanted to leave it. So they did something which we could never imagine, they created Pakistan and handed over India to congress and gandhi.

It was basically a win-win scenario for congress to get the majority and rule but i dont understand what the congress achieved. We got nothing but we lost a lot. Millions of hindus died in partition, accompanied with that is the loss of land. What did we achieve? Please do tell me i want to know.

On the other hand, if not congress, then who was going to rule? No it wasnt the British who will, but am sure we werent going to see an Azad Hind Fauj taking over the country, Mangal Pandey and the revolutionaries werent going to come back and rule. So BOOM, either the freedom struggle, independence movement was a waste or congress was the direct result or beneficiary of it.

PS: Dont get me wrong, i hate the British more than anything, but i just want to know why congress who didnt do anything for us got the ruling seat?
