Can someone explain to me why Europeans aren’t flying anymore? I’m an American and I’m just confused

I’m from the US, sorry if this is the wrong type of post for this sub. I just don’t understand or hear about Europeans not flying anymore. <br><br>I live in America, where it’s almost necessary to fly for long distance travel. I want to visit more European countries after having visited once but I don’t see myself ever being able to drive that far. <br><br>What are you guys doing instead? Taking the train? Driving? Just curious.
