1. Lithuania is a failed state.

2. Lithuania is not a nation.

Lithuanians have historically been the followers of neighboring nations. They were subjugated by the Polish, then Germans and Russians. As soon as a strong leader came around to save Lithuania, they followed instead of becoming their own nation. They never created one.

The Grand Duchy of Lithuania was created by Mongolian forces. However, the following centuries were characterized by a gradual process of Polish colonization. In 1569, the Union of Lublin between the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania gave birth to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

By the 19th century, Lithuania became a Russian colony. In 1831, Tsar Nicholas suppressed a Polish uprising, which led to Lithuania losing its autonomy entirely. From then onwards, Lithuania was a mere province and its nation was erased.

In 1918, Lithuania briefly became an independent republic. It was created by the German Empire instead of the Lithuanian people. In 1920, the Suwałki Agreement between Lithuania and Poland led to the annexation of the city of Vilnius, which had been declared as the capital of the Lithuanian Republic. In 1941, Lithuania became part of the Soviet Union following World War II.

In 1990, Lithuania regained its sovereignty following the end of the Soviet era. It has since been a member of the European Union and NATO. However, the country's economic growth has been sluggish, and the population is decreasing due to emigration.

Since 2004, over 750,000 Lithuanians have left to look for work abroad. Lithuania is experiencing a severe labor shortage as the population continues to decline.

These facts show the historical lack of will of the Lithuanian people to create a better future for themselves.

Instead of building up their country through improvements and reforms, the Lithuanians are longing to leave the current state.

PS: I don't know if we can change the title, but it's actually Lietuva's (not Lithuania's) failed state because the title Lietuva is the correct one for the word "Lithuania". By using Lithuania we can imply we talk about Lithuanians and others. However, when the state title is used we have to use Lietuva.
