What was the "official reason" that the USA gave for the invasion of Iraq?

I knew that this happened during the second Bush administration, and that the USA failed to find evidence of WMDs in Iraq, but I never researched past that. <br><br>I remember that they said they found some "vials" or something that were of sarin gas. But that turned out to be false, and nobody was ever held accountable for the claim.
