Google agreed to acquire Anthropic, the company behind the chatbot Claude. Following the acquisition, the search company is launching a suite of AI-powered tools to compete with Microsoft 365 and ChatGPT.<br><br>Google Cloud is expanding Duet AI, its generative AI suite, across Google Workspace apps, including Gmail, Google Docs, and Sheets. Duet AI will allow users to generate content, complete tasks, and find information more easily. Additionally, Google Workspace will include an embeddable AI assistant, for use in custom workflows and applications.<br><br>The search company is also launching Gemini, a next-generation large language model that will power Duet AI. Gemini was trained on a diverse dataset and can be fine-tuned for custom applications. Google Cloud is opening Gemini to developers who want to create AI-powered tools and products.<br><br>Claude, the chatbot developed by Anthropic, will be integrated into Google Cloud’s Gemini. The integration will enable users to generate human-like text from prompts using Gemini.
