I’ve lived in Australia my entire life but yesterday was the first time I’ve seen a kangaroo outside of a zoo

So I’m from a small coastal town in Australia (pretty much a tourist trap) and despite living here my entire life I had never seen a roo outside of a zoo. We were driving yesterday when my sister suddenly yelled out and pointed to a field. There were two roos and a joey, grazing in the grass and I was so excited! It felt like seeing a celebrity walking down the street strangely enough lol.
