Why people think incest is taboo?

I honestly don't get it. Why people think incest is so immoral? <br><br>I got triggered when I saw an episode of Attack on Titan where a man was taking his son to be executed. He had incest with his son's mother who was his sister. The fact that incest is gonna get someone executed tells you a lot about society.
