Can I abandon a PhD to get a degree I am actually qualified for?

Right now I am completing a masters degree in physics on the way to a PhD in condensed matter physics. I am 24 years old. I want to abandon this to get a degree in software engineering. I am unqualified and do not have the credentials to do this. How would I do this? This is because I value having a career that is lucrative and provides financial security. My end goal is to work at a FAANG company. I am in a crisis now due to my masters program being a grind and no end in sight. Do I have any hope?
