skip the intro if you want

What does this post have to do with anything, though? Just like the Republicans in 2016, the Democrats are expected to lose the general election if they go ahead and nominate Clinton's chosen successor in 2020. However, based on the results of the 2016 election, we can deduce that Hillary Clinton would have won if Trump had run an independent campaign. Trump's populism was so strong in 2016 that he won almost as many votes as Clinton did, despite the fact that he had zero political experience and no political track record of any kind. In other words, the reason why Trump won the election was not because of his policies or his track record, it was because he convinced people that he was not beholden to any politician or special interest group. The Democratic party can therefore win the 2020 election by borrowing a page from Trump's playbook. In fact, the Democratic party has a leg up on the Republicans in this regard.

The key to winning the election is to run a candidate who is not beholden to Wall Street, the establishment, or the corporate sector. Since the Democratic party is traditionally seen as being more progressive than the Republican party, it has access to a pool of progressive candidates who are not beholden to Wall Street, the establishment, or special interests of any kind. However, the Democratic party will only be able to benefit from this advantage if it changes its ways. The Democratic party needs to stop being an exclusive club for the well-connected, the wealthy, and the powerful. The Democratic party needs to stop being beholden to Wall Street, the establishment, and special interests. The Democratic party needs to stop taking money from Wall Street, the establishment, and corporations, and it needs to stop excluding candidates who do not have enough money or influence. The Democratic party needs to open itself up to everybody, regardless of their wealth or their connections or their past history.

The good news is that the Democratic party is already taking steps to do this. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) passed a resolution in 2018 which restricts its access to corporate and special-interest money. Additionally, people on chambers and other social media are organizing to insist that the Democratic party pass a law which bans corporate money from politics entirely, and which ensures that politicians are not able to take money from corporations while they are in office. These are not just idle pipe dreams. We have already shown that we have the power to make politicians run from money, just by calling them out on it. We can do it again, and we can make sure that the Democratic party really is of the people, by the people, and for the people. The Democratic party does not have to wait until 2020 to do this, either. As we mentioned earlier, the Democratic party has access to a large pool of progressive candidates who are not beholden to Wall Street, the establishment, or special interests. The Democratic party can therefore start winning elections right now, by running these candidates in special elections and during this year's midterm elections.

So, the bottom line is that the Democratic party can win the 2020 election, but it will only be able to do so if it borrows a page from Trump's playbook. The Democratic party can only win if it runs a candidate who is not beholden to Wall Street, the establishment, or special interests. The Democratic party has access to a large pool of progressive candidates who fit this bill, but it will only be able to benefit from this advantage if it changes its ways. The Democratic party needs to stop taking money from Wall Street, the establishment, and corporations, and it needs to start being of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Watching the debate reminds me of Obama's speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2008. I was so energized, I felt like I could take on the world. I was so excited to go out and work my ass off to help Obama win. I wasn't the only one. Obama inspired a movement, he inspired people to get off their butts and do something. And so here we are today. We have the power to make politicians run from money, just by calling them out on it. We have the power to insist that politicians do what we want them to do, even if they don't want to do it. So let's do it.

Let's make the Democratic party great again. Even more importantly, let's make America great again.

TL;DR: The Democratic party can win the White House in 2020 if it runs a candidate who is not beholden to Wall Street, the establishment, or special interests.
