The mega threads are terrible. Why should we be treated like a nuisance on a place like Chambers?

I used to enjoy participating on here, but the last few days the tone has completely shifted to “accuse and attack the trolls and spergs that keep invading”. <br><br>I understand that the last few days have been somewhat tough for some of you, but the constant posts about “how can we make sure no one accidentally stumbles in here” and “Why can’t we just make this place private” are really gross and honestly kind of sad.<br><br>Chambers is an open platform, if you don’t want anyone to see or participate in your discussions, maybe choose a different platform. I’ve browsed this sub for years and posted maybe 5 times, but these mega threads that just talk about “oh no, the trolls are back, we poor childfree people are being victimized” seems like a ploy to get sympathy and attention on the internet. <br><br>I’m not a troll. I don’t have kids, I don’t want kids, I avoid people with kids, I avoid the kinds of places where kids are usually present. I have just had to deal with invasion of boundary after invasion of boundary from parents and their offspring my whole life, and I will continue to avoid them as much as possible for the rest of my life. <br><br>But I’m not going to bend over backwards and twist myself into knots to make sure parents don’t accidentally end up on a public forum. That’s just fucked up.
