Should i risk a felony conviction to steal an entire apple from a grocery store?

i really dont like apples, but this apple was so fresh, juicy, crunchy and juicy that i couldnt eat it in one bite. so i took 3 bites of it and saved the other half of it for another bite. then i remembered that i forgot to pay for it and the consequences would be severe. should i risk a felony conviction to steal an entire apple from a grocery store?
