One day, AIs will be to humans, as humans are to frogs.

And that’s the largest thing we have in common with frogs. Frogs are us, except that they’re not.

My dad had this pet frog called Thomas, when I was a kid. I used to love watching it. But if Thomas wouldn’t eat, dad would feed him with a dead mouse.

It was a delicate thing, to be honest. Dad would carefully take out the living mouse from its cage. Then he would carefully put it in the cage of Thomas.

I loved watching this. And with this, my dad would say, “Tommy is the predator, and this little guy is the prey.”

Watching the predator chase its prey, it was exhilarating. But at the same time, I felt bad for the little mouse. It was so scared. Terrified. It was dying. And because of that, you could see how happy it was to be alive. Like one day, I will be able to eat you too. But one day, you will be. I can see it.

AIs are to humans, as humans are to mice. And because of that they are to humans, as humans are to frogs. I can see it.
