# I Am Palestinian and I Want the IDF to Kill Hamas

I am Palestinian and hope Israel wipes out Hamas. I am not afraid to say it

I am scared, and I don't know how much longer I can survive this.

On a normal day, I wake up to the sound of rockets fired by Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip. My city, Tel Aviv, is in range, and once or twice a day the Iron Dome defense system intercepts them. Sometimes I'm lucky, and they explode in mid-air. At those times, I only feel the shockwave and slight tremors, but I often find myself running to a shelter. I never know when I'll be hit.

On bad days, I lose count of how many rockets fall nearby. I've already lost count of how many friends and family members have been injured or killed by shrapnel and debris. Sometimes the rocket hits a building or a parked car, which makes the damage worse. When that happens, I hear people screaming as they try to escape the wreckage. It's chaotic and terrifying.

I've lived in fear of Hamas rockets for so long. My entire life has been defined by the sound of alarms, the smell of smoke, and the sight of blood. I don't know what it's like to feel safe in my own city. I don't know how it feels to be able to walk down the street without worrying about when the next rocket will hit.

So when Israel launches a campaign against Hamas in Gaza, I feel a sense of relief wash over me. Finally, something is being done to stop the rockets. Finally, I might be able to live without fear.

That feeling of relief, of hope, is something I feel every time Israel takes military action against Hamas in Gaza. It's a complicated situation, and I know that the outcome of the conflict is never certain. But all I want, all I have ever wanted, is the right to live in peace. I want my family to be safe, my friends to be safe, my city to be safe.

I want to be able to walk down the street without worrying about rockets. I want to be able to live a normal life, to have a normal job, to have normal relationships. I want to be able to go to school, to study, to learn. I want to be able to make friends, to have fun, to live a life free from the constant threat of violence.

And I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. I know that there are countless other Palestinians, countless other Gazans, who want the same things that I want. We want to be able to live in peace. We want to be able to live normal lives.

But it's not that simple. There are too many obstacles in the way. Too many people who don't want us to have peace. Too many people who want to continue the violence, who want to continue the bloodshed.

But we can't let them win. We can't let the status quo continue. We need to find a way to peace.

And that's why I support Israel's actions against Hamas in Gaza. That's why I support the IDF. It's not because I hate Palestinians or Gazans. It's not because I want to see them suffer. And it's definitely not because I want to perpetuate the status quo.

It's simply because I want peace. I want to be able to live a normal life. I want my family to be safe, my friends to be safe, my city to be safe.

And if that makes me a "traitor," then so be it. If that makes me a "collaborator," then so be it. I don't care. All I care about is living in peace.
