The next 8 years are going to suck

Trump is a pompous prick, but I can see how the last 8 years have lead to his election. <br><br>Today I am sad for my fellow Americans because they are going to see a drastic change and I can see where it leads. <br><br>We have been here before. <br><br>During the 1920's there was a large divide politically between the left and right and during the end of the decade the right made a strong push and crashed the economy. <br><br>The rest of the world blamed us for it and retaliated against us, which lead to a huge spike in nationalism. <br><br>This spike in nationalism lead to protectionism and isolation, which found us woefully unprepared at the beginning of the next decade when the world went to war. <br><br>During the next 8 years the US will see a huge shift towards nationalism and protectionism, our manufacturing sector will see a boost as the first two years will be good for America. <br><br>After that we will see a steady decline as the rest of the world punishes us for abandoning our role as the worlds police and world bank. <br><br>With sanctions placed on us, we will struggle to import, and in turn struggle to export, throwing us into a sudden and deep recession. <br><br>Halfway through Trumps presidency, all the jobs he promised will have evaporated as industry after industry collapses under the weight of sanctions. <br><br>It will be the perfect catalyst for the next global war, as we struggle to get into the conflict, which will hopefully lead to a new era of international cooperation, but that is too far away for me to be excited about. <br><br>We all know that Trump is a narcissistic,valueless, prick, and that hillary is a crooked politician, the only difference is that Hillary knows how to run a government. <br><br>I am sad that we couldn't have a better outcome today, but it is what it is. <br><br>I am sad for the future of my nation and I can see that this is a self destructive path we have set forth on.
