Hey guys. So I am a second year college student and I noticed one thing that completely changed my life. I don’t know if you use it but I noticed using my phone as an alarm really doesn’t work for me. I would set my alarms, wake up, check my phone, snooze, wake up, check my phone, snooze, wake up, check my phone and then eventually get out of bed. I noticed that most people don’t realize when they check their alarm, phone has a lot of notifications. It’s hard to set an alarm on your phone and not look at your notifications while you are there. I recommend setting your alarm clock in your room and it’s not your phone. It has been a game changer for me. You can listen to the radio or podcast or even have a nature sound setting. I set my alarm to nature sounds and it works out great for me. Since using my alarm, I have never hit the snooze button and I get out of bed right away. I like to get up at 4:30am and head to bed at 9:30. I like to think a lot and I do a lot of freelance work and I like to wake up early and get a head start on my day.

I am a big believer in waking up at 4:30am. I noticed that no matter how much sleep I get in a day, if I don’t wake up at 4:30am I will not be as productive. I will give you a list of things I do every day.

Get out of bed 4:30am (I go to the gym at 5am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays)

Brush my teeth

Eat a banana and drink some water

Go to the restroom

Get in bed and study for 2 hours (this is so important) if you wake up early and study for 2 hours, you will feel like you have accomplished something of value. It is nice being able to get something profound done early and you will feel more confident throughout the day.

At 6:30 I either do a workout or do some flashcards

Do another 2.5 hours of studying from 7:15am to 9:45am

Take a 30 minute break

Study for 2 hours from 10:15am to 12:15pm

Take a 30 minute break

Eat lunch and do flashcards for an hour and a half. Studying can be boring, but if you change up the way you study you will notice a difference. You can do flashcards, listen to a podcast, draw, write, and so on...

Study from 2pm to 5pm

Take a 30 minute break

Do flashcards for about an hour and a half

Eat dinner

Study from 7 to 8

Then normally close my books for the night and just watch Netflix and relax.

This works well for me but I noticed that I don’t have to check my phone to wake me up and I get out of bed faster because I don’t see any notifications and the radio is nice to listen to. I hope you all have a great day and if you try this let me know how it works out for you.
