I 25m never went to Uni because I didn’t see the point for what I do, I used that money to set up an online business, most of that money went to shit but I did manage to get some stuff. I got an office chair, a desk and a few other things. And now I have a lot less use for it as my business failed. I’m not out of a job but I’m moving around a lot more and I do call based work now. I tried selling it but it went for way less than what I wanted. I could’ve gone for a higher but I wanted to sell it fast and I don’t think I would’ve gotten many offers. It’s a very comfortable chair and I wish I could’ve kept it but I really didn’t need it.

So I gave it to my brother 22m. He recently made it into university and he’s been looking to upgrade his chair since his current chair is a piece of shit. He’s currently on a scholarship and looking for a job so he’s not really able to spend a lot.

He’s been talking to his friends about it and apparently it caused a bit of a stir. They think it’s unfair that he got the chair for basically nothing when they had to pay full price for their stuff. They think I should’ve sold it for a higher price. I feel like I did the right thing but they think I’m the asshole for doing what I did. AITA?
