Always get a room with visible elevator in the hotel

So around 3am one night I woke up to the sound of my door open. So I sit up to look and I notice a person. It was a guy with a hood on and he was kinda feelin the door so I quickly got out of bed and closed and locked the door. I screamed really loud and very proud of myself for not allowing him further into the hotel. I called the police and reported it to them. So there is no proof that the person was in my room. I definitely feel like I did the right thing. I was about to go back to sleep and I heard a noise coming from the closet. I was terrified and very proud of myself for not freaking out. I grabbed the police baton I had and slowly opened the closet. I immediately batted the fuck out of him until he was out cold. I called the police again and surely enough they believe me this time. It turns out the guy was a jealous boyfriend who knew his ex stayed in the hotel and was looking for her. Somehow he knew what room she was staying in but little did he know that the hotel rooms were switched. Definitely the most weirdest and scary experience so far. <br><br>Update: not a jealous boyfriend! My friend was staying in the hotel just down the street from where I was staying and he has this app that is connected to his friends phone. He said his friend was in the hotel with a guy who wanted to do things to her that she was not okay with. So he was on the phone telling him to stay in the hotel room with her and she asked to call the police, but he said he doesn’t wanna call the police because he didn’t wanna get in trouble. So he bugged his ex phone and started listening to things she was saying over the phone. He does have a track record of being violent. So he bugged her phone and found out that she was in the hotel room right next to my room. Long story short he started banging at her hotel door left and right and she had no idea. I don’t know if he was going to hurt her, but he did end up hurting me. So I clearly blacked out the story. He definitely did touch me and try to look at me in a sexual way. I don’t know what else to say except I’m grateful for my safety.
