My (29F) bonus is 75k this year. I don’t know where to put it. Advice?

First of - thank you for your time reading this. I’m really not comfortable posting this anywhere else but I guess this chamber might have some qualified answers since I assume most of you are men and I have no friends with good knowledge about this. <br><br>Basically, I have worked for a company for more than 4 years and this year I got a huge bonus of 75,000 USD. I live in a country in South East Asia, and to put it into perspective, that is considered a lot of money here. <br><br>I’ve never had this much money in my hands. My salary is about 4,000 USD monthly and I never lack anything but I also don’t have any savings. I want some advice what will be the best way to manage this money. <br><br>The only thing I’ve spent so far is paying off all my debt which makes me feel better because I don’t have to pay anything anymore and it’s actually liberating. <br><br>I have about 40,000 left to spend after paying off everything. I’m thinking of putting it into a fixed deposit account but I want it in a foreign currency because our currency isn’t stable. I just don’t know where to start.<br><br>And the last thing, I want to keep this to myself because the culture here demands you to spend on others when you have money and especially when you have more than everybody else. I don’t like this and I don’t know how to say no to people especially my family.
