I’m so confused.

I’ve been seeing this influx of tweets and Tiktoks talking about catgirls being a far right thing. I’ve always known them to be popular in anime and the weirder parts of the internet. I’ve always associated it with over sexualised children, or little girls. I don’t understand what it has to do with the right. What am I missing?
